Note: Although not required, DOBOTS make engagements more fun! You don't need DOBOTS NFC Tags to use the App. The platform is fully functional on its own, and NFC tags are an optional enhancement to create even more engaging experiences.
What is RFID and NFC?
NFC (Near Field Communications) is a subset of Radio Frequency Identification: a feature like bluetooth/wifi on most modern mobile phones. It is how your "tap to pay" credit card works, so you will need to turn it on if you decide you want to start writing tags or have someone "tap to pay" you!
How does it work?
NFC Tags are programmable and scannable tags through a close proximity wireless connection. You may need to touch the phone at the top for Apple phones and in the middle of the back for most Androids. Play around with it, you'll figure it out.
How do I modify the Tags?
Program NFC Tags with our Apps on your mobile phone. You will see many buttons which "Write NFC Tags" in the App. These are key features to share Events, Payment requests and Stores, along with many other uses like sharing websites URLs, cool Event Invitations (like your Events and Birthdays) and making phone calls that you will find in NFC Utilities.
